Psalms 27

¹Yahweh is the one who gives light to my soul/spirit and the one who saves me,

²When those who do evil come near me to attack me,

³Even if an army surrounds me,

⁴There is one thing that I have requested from Yahweh;

⁵He will protect me when I have troubles;

⁶Then I will triumph over [IDM] my enemies.

⁷Yahweh, listen to me while I pray.

⁸I sensed that I heard you say, “Come and worship me [IDM],”

⁹I am your servant;

¹⁰Even if my father and mother desert me,

¹¹Yahweh, teach me to do what you want me to do,

¹²Do not allow my enemies to do to me what they want;

¹³But I know that because I trust in you

¹⁴So trust in Yahweh, all of you!
