Psalms 8

¹O LORD, our Lord,

²From the mouths of children and infants

³When I behold Your heavens,

⁴what is man that You are mindful of him,

⁵You made him a little lower than the angels;8:5 Or than God or than the heavenly beings; see also LXX.

⁶You made him ruler of the works of Your hands;

⁷all sheep and oxen,

⁸the birds of the air and the fish of the sea,

⁹O LORD, our Lord,
