Psalms 132

¹O LORD, remember on behalf of David

²how he swore an oath to the LORD,

³“I will not enter my house

⁴I will not give sleep to my eyes

⁵until I find a place for the LORD,

⁶We heard that the ark was in Ephrathah;132:6 Literally Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah

⁷Let us go to His dwelling place;

⁸Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place,

⁹May Your priests be clothed with righteousness,

¹⁰For the sake of Your servant David,

¹¹The LORD swore an oath to David,

¹²If your sons keep My covenant

¹³For the LORD has chosen Zion;

¹⁴“This is My resting place forever and ever;

¹⁵I will bless her with abundant provisions;

¹⁶I will clothe her priests with salvation,

¹⁷There I will make a horn grow for David;

¹⁸I will clothe his enemies with shame,
