Proverbs 29

American Standard Version of the Holy Bible · inglês

← Proverbs 28 Proverbs Proverbs 30 →

He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck

When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice;

Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father;

The king by justice establisheth the land;

A man that flattereth his neighbor

In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare;

The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor;

Scoffers set a city in a flame;

If a wise man hath a controversy with a foolish man,

The bloodthirsty hate him that is perfect;

A fool uttereth all his anger;

If a ruler hearkeneth to falsehood,

The poor man and the oppressor meet together;

The king that faithfully judgeth the poor,

The rod and reproof give wisdom;

When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth;

Correct thy son, and he will give thee rest;

Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint;

A servant will not be corrected by words;

Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words?

He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child

An angry man stirreth up strife,

A man’s pride shall bring him low;

Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul;

The fear of man bringeth a snare;

Many seek the ruler’s favor;

An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous;
